Sage Green & Purple Flax Colorado Couture Top

$348.25

100% Colorado Couture.

Made with 100% Colorado spun Farm Yarn bought from Yampa Valley Fiberworks outside of Craig, Colorado.

The front of this top features a beautiful sage green yarn that is 80% alpaca, 10% sheepswool, & 10% silk that was produced at Lonesome Stone Fiber Mill in Granby, Colorado.

The flax purple back is made with 100% alpaca, from Yampa Valley Fiberworks.

The top is a bit transparent, with tiny stitches, & a looser knit (yet tight - won’t snag easily, but do be careful with snaggy jewelry!), with a thicker strip around the bust for coverage.

Baily Rose made this on her mother’s knitting machine. Hand sewn together.

This piece took Baily Rose this much of her life in late June to make you magic:

.25 hours : to spin the hanks of yarns into balls to easily knit with

1.75 hours: to knit the front of the top

1 hour: to knit the back of the top

.25 hours: preparing the knit pieces for blocking

3.5 hours : to sew together (invisible seams - except the contrasting color!)

6.75 total hours of Baily Rose’s labor x a living wage of $35/hour =

$236.25 +

$22 : Cost of Sage Green Yarn

$40: Cost of Flax Purple Yarn =

$298.25 +

$50 : Marketing & Selling Costs: Website, Photos, Time to Mail, Etc

= $348.25

Sizing/ Dimensions: It is basically a rectangle, very simple design:

21” across the shoulders, bust, & waist laying flat (44” around)

24” from top of shoulder to hip laying flat in the front

26” from top of shoulder to top of rump laying flat in the back

(yes, the back is just a smidgen longer than the front
